Week 30-32!

Baby size: 33 Weeks! Baby is the size of a pineapple. Hopefully, not the texture, though. o_O
Yummmm :)

How I feel about being pregnant: Gigantic. Haha It's really hard to breathe. And sit. And stand. And lay down. Not to mention the hormones. Oh man. I cry over absolutely everything. I've always been a crier, but it's 1000x worse now. My poor husband...
What I miss about pre-pregnancy life: Ummm being able to do all of the previously mentioned things without much difficulty. I literally feel it's a triumph when I'm able to get up out of the tub by myself. I'm just waiting for the day when Shane has to come rescue me. lol
Symptoms: Heartburn and a complete inability to get comfortable at night to sleep, if that counts as a symptom.
Food Cravings:  Rice Krispie Treats. I got up and made them at midnight the other day b/c I saw a pic of one and just HAD to have them. Haha.
What I'm most excited about: Working on the nursery! It's so fun to get his room all set up and ready for him. :) I got super overwhelmed after the shower because there was SO MUCH STUFF (for which I am beyond grateful <3), so last Monday Shane and I went and bought some shelving and baskets and such to organize things in. I feel a lot better now. :-D
This is where the crib will be going. :)

That chair will be exchanged for a glider. Right now it's just a place for me to take a break when I get worn out. lol

The border turned out AMAZING! I'm totally in love with it. :))
Something I've done to prepare for baby: Baby Shower #1!! It was so much fun to spend time with all my family and celebrate my little guy. It makes my heart so happy to see how loved he is already. We got so many cute and fun things for him. He's definitely going to have some pretty fun bath times in the future! ;) I think he's going to love all of his toys, and I KNOW he's going to look ridiculously adorable in all his clothes. He might actually have more clothes than me, and I'm pretty certain he has more clothes than Shane. :-P I can't wait to play dress up! ;)
Getting ready to go! :)

Daddy hanging out in MY chair. :-P

Shane crammed into the car on the way home. Hahaha

SO MANY CLOTHES!!
Special moment:
Funny moment: Marlen and Krystin were over for dinner the other night and wanted to feel Kaden move. Of course, he decided he was NOT going to cooperate, so they began humming with their throats against my belly, yelling, and poking trying to get his attention. He didn't even kick once. Stubborn! It was hilarious though. I'm hoping I can get the video to upload, because it is pure gold. :-D
Krystin pouting against my bump. Aka the CUTEST SAD PICTURE EVER. <3
How baby's growing (from BabyCenter): This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark (about the size of a pineapple). He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

My ever-expanding bump! :)) <3 [11-31 weeks]
31 weeks!
32 weeks! (I haven't taken a 33 week one yet, whoops!)
RANDOM PICS/ROSCOE:
Roscoe was laying in Shane's lap and his face made me die laughing. Crazy puppy!

He loooooves snuggling with mommy and daddy!
The shelf I built for the nursery! Whoo!

Kaden's library! He's going to be such a nerd. I can't wait! :-D

My sweet boys napping <3
FAMILY DINNER NIGHT:
Bromance. What IS personal space?
Krystin and Shane bonding over their mutual exhaustion. haha
PAINTING THE NURSERY!! :)

HALLOWEEN:
What WOULD have been Shane's Halloween costume, but he put it on a bit too early and it wasn't quite dry.

Our Halloween costume! <3

Week 27-29 (& 2 appointments with my midwife) :)

Baby size: 28 Weeks: An eggplant! to 30 Weeks: A large cabbage!

How I feel about being pregnant: Excited about finally being big enough for people to tell I'm preggo! I love when people ask about baby. :)) Though sometimes I get confused when someone randomly says "what's your due date" or something similar.
What I miss about pre-pregnancy life: Sleeping on my tummy! Ohmygoodness! I would sleep so much better if I wasn't confined to my sides. Kaden is SO not about his space being invaded, though. AT ALL.
Symptoms: The heartburn gets a little gnarly when he kicks me in the stomach, but generally I've been feeling fine. :) He has also gotten super sensitive to noise. Any time he hears loud noises he freaks out. He also tries to kick ANYTHING that touches my belly. He's SO dramatic about his space. lol If I so much as rest my arm on my belly he tries as hard as he can to kick it off. It's adorable. <3
Food Cravings:  Cheese pringles. Still. I stopped buying them, but it's not helping! I want them all the time. haha
What I'm most excited about: That baby is doing so well. <3
Something I've done to prepare for baby: 28 week appointment with my midwife on the 11th! She said he looks great and is measuring perfectly. She even said his spine is beautiful. :) My weight gain is on track, and I'm up 17 lbs so far. His heartbeat was super strong and kind of sounded like a horse galloping. He kept his hands around his head the whole ultrasound, as usual. I had to do my glucose test this time. It was gross, but not as bad as I was anticipating. I then found out I failed it and had to schedule a 3 hour glucose screen for Monday, which I super hope I pass. Baby is going to be SO angry about the fasting I have to do. It's going to be a looooong, torturous holiday season if I fail. :( My appointment Wednesday went well, too. Everything is measuring on track and all is well. :)
Special moment: My daddy finally came home from China! By which I mean Pennsylvania. When he left I was 13 weeks and MUCH smaller. It's been nice to have him home, for sure. :)
Funny moment: Ummmm so when I got to my appointment Wednesday, there was a woman in the middle of pushing. The sound was a little terrifying. I got so distracted that when I went to pee in a cup I kind of forgot the cup... haha. I think baby might be melting my brain a little.
How baby's growing (from BabyCenter): Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now and weighs almost 3 pounds (about the size of a large cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will shrink as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

I can't believe how big he's getting!! :)

Tori nomming on Uncle Shane's finger!
28 weeks! Headed to NCHS's homecoming game. :)

Weeks 24-26! (with lots of random pictures)

Baby size: Week 27 = Cauliflower. Ew.
How I feel about being pregnant: I loooooove feeling his squirmy little butt move all the time! I'm pretty sure he's practicing to be a Ninja warrior. Whatever makes him happy. ;)
What I miss about pre-pregnancy life: Being able to walk and do stuff without being in pain. That's about it.
Symptoms: Back pain. SO much back pain. I also have trouble sleeping, but that's mostly due to the previously mentioned squirming. I'm sure the stretch marks aren't far off either. He keeps laying sideways and putting even more pressure on my poor skin. Crazy kid! I've always carried my weight lower, so the top of my stomach is like whaaatttttt?! Haha. Heartburn is also getting worse since he's moving up so far. He is now able to kick me in the ribs if he doesn't like how I'm sitting. He's going to correct my posture if it kills me. Lol.
Food Cravings:  Right now, Cheese Pringles & Blue Bell Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Not together, obviously. I haven't had any cravings THAT weird. Haha.
What I'm most excited about: Decorating the nursery! I think our theme is going to be fantastic! Music and monkeys are two of my favorite things in the world, so I'm super excited. :)
Something I've done to prepare for baby: Hmmm just lots of research on cloth diapers. And I started reading my New Mother's Guide to Breast Feeding. Fun times!
Special moment: I asked Shane if he could think of a special moment and he replied "every moment". D'awwww!!! :))

Daddy's birthday was this week! As was our 2 year Engage-aversary! We had a lot of fun spending time with friends. :)

Funny moment: The other day Shane was feeling my belly trying to catch Kaden kicking (he's hard to catch b/c he's SUPER stubborn). All of a sudden he pokes the edge of my ribcage and says "OH MY GOD, WHAT'S THAT?!" with this super excited look on his face. I completely died laughing and told him it was my ribs. 2 minutes later he did the exact same thing with my pelvis. It was the funniest and cutest thing ever! I'm sure he would also like me to specify that he wasn't actually looking at me when this happened. lol

How baby's growing (from BabyCenter):
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (about the size of a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

Baby is getting SO big!!! :)) I'm one proud mama! <3

25 weeks! :)
26 Weeks! :)

Growth pic. I cannot believe how much bigger I got in just 5 weeks!

Lost bouncy ball! Uncle Shane to the rescue!! ;)

Week 23!

Baby size: An ear of corn! Crazy!!

How I feel about being pregnant: I'm feeling particularly in love with my little guy today. I woke up this morning thinking about the day we found out I was pregnant and I teared up a little. Words really can't explain how happy I am to be pregnant. <3
What I miss about pre-pregnancy life: Being able to bend over relatively comfortably? Haha.
Symptoms: Lower back pain. All. The. Time. My midwife says it's from my giganto uterus (seriously the size of a freaking soccer ball this week... WHAT?!) pulling on the ligament attached to my lower spine. Super fun times! I made her tell Shane I needed my exercise ball b/c he doesn't like it being inflated since it's so huge.
Food Cravings: Ummmm nothing in particular. I AM feeling rather averse to my favorite restaurant right now, which is super weird.
What I'm most excited about: Painting the nursery! I've been collecting samples and OMG there are SO many shades of blue!! I think we're starting to narrow it down, though.
Something I've done to prepare for baby: We had an appointment with my midwife today. :) She said everything is going great! I'm up 11lbs since I got pregnant, which is pretty good for 24 weeks. She has actually never said anything at all about my weight. Another reason I heart her. The heartbeat sounded amazing, as usual. She chit-chatted with us a lot about Gestational Diabetes and Braxton Hicks. I have my glucose test next time and I've been having sporadic contractions, which I think kind of freaks my husband out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no GD because I love me some carbs! Lol. Overall, all is well with my little pumpkin! <3
Special moment: I just love feeling all his little flips and kicks! It's so precious! The other day he kicked so hard it moved my entire stomach and even Shane could see it. Adorable! :)
How baby's growing (from BabyCenter):
Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at about 1 1/3 pounds. Since he's almost a foot long (about the size of an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon. [[We showed my midwife a pic from the 4D ultrasound and she said he's already looking chubby. OHEMGEE! -_-]]

Me and my Annie! :)

Roscoe is SUCH a Daddy's boy!

24 Weeks!!
